What Is Saraf? A Crypto, Futures and Gold Exchange

Saraf Research ·

Saraf (صراف, also written Sarraf) is a cryptocurrency exchange built for Persian speakers. It combines crypto spot trading, perpetual futures, one-step swaps, gold and silver trading, and live Tehran market prices for the dollar, gold coins and gold, in one account. The interface is Persian-first and available in ten languages. This page sets out what Saraf is, what it offers and how it works.

Saraf at a glance

What you can trade

Spot

Buy and sell cryptocurrencies directly against USDT with market and limit orders, on Saraf's spot market. Tokenised gold such as PAXG and XAUT, each backed by one troy ounce of physical gold, also trades on spot.

Perpetual futures

Saraf futures are perpetual contracts on cryptocurrencies, precious metals, commodities, indices and single stocks, all cash-settled in USDT. Traders can go long or short with cross or isolated margin, market, limit and trigger orders, take-profit and stop-loss (including a laddered take-profit), and position reversal. Leverage caps are set per market by volatility and are shown before an order is placed.

Swap

One-step conversion from one asset to another, without placing an order on the book.

Tehran market prices

Saraf publishes live Tehran market prices, in toman, for the US dollar, the Emami and Bahar Azadi gold coins, half, quarter and gram coins, and 24k gold per gram, on its Iran market page. These are market quotes for information; they are priced in toman, and one toman is ten rial.

Charts and tools

Charts are TradingView Advanced Charts drawn on Saraf's own prices, streamed live, with a ready-made indicator set (moving averages, SAR, volume, MACD and RSI) that persists across markets. A public coin price index shows the live price, 24-hour change, volume and market capitalisation of listed assets.

Referral programme

Anyone who invites a new user to Saraf receives a share of the trading fees that user pays, on spot and futures, credited as each trade happens, with no cap and no expiry. The public terms are on the invite page.

Fees and withdrawals

The trading fee tiers and per-network withdrawal costs are published on the fees page. Withdrawal cost depends on the network, not the amount. Withdrawals are reviewed before they are sent; the review time is shown on the withdrawal screen. Transfers between two Saraf accounts are free and instant.
